OUR PASTOR

 

     Hello, I’m Joel, I am the pastor here at Bethel Lutheran church and this is my wife Emily and our two children, Corbin and Elias.  We have been serving here in Platte since May of 2013.

     I would like to invite you to come and visit us here at Bethel Lutheran Church.  We have what is called a blended worship style with both contemporary and traditional music.  I preach law and Gospel for it is through the law that we realize we are sinners, and through the Gospel that we are set free in Christ Jesus our Savior.

    Here at Bethel Lutheran Church, we love to be Together.  We worship God and study His Word (The Bible) which has the result of desiring to serve God and others (Love God, love others), and Growing in our faith.  Just as a family, we do this together.

 

OUR CHURCH

 

Here at Bethel Lutheran Church we seek:

 

  1. As a church in Platte, SD we seek to acquaint the community with the good news of forgiveness of sin and new life in Jesus Christ.

  2. To show that we are followers of Christ in word and deed by loving one another as seen in Hebrews 10:24-25.

  3. To equip believers to go and exercise of the gifts of the Spirit.

  4. To encourage the exercise of talents through singing, leadership, prayer, testimony, etc.

 5.  To promote spiritual awakening, growth and maturity

      through Bible teaching and preaching.

 6.  To train up families to live out their faith by assisting in

      spiritual development and outreach.

 7.  To support the ministry of the Church of the Lutheran

      Brethren in their home and worldwide evangelism and

      mission programs.
